Privacy Policy

The short version: browsing the radar is anonymous, we don't run ad trackers, and we never sell your information.

Last updated: August 2026

StyleMap NYC (“we”, “us”) is a directory of New York City fashion stores. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It's written to be read by a person, not a lawyer.

Browsing without an account

You can explore every page — the radar, the map, store pages, outlet intel and trend pulse — without creating an account. When you browse anonymously we do not collect your name, email, or location, and we do not use advertising trackers or third-party marketing cookies.

Accounts & content you create

Accounts are optional and only exist to power community features such as Discussions, votes, and “flag a change” reports. If you sign in, we process:

  • Your email address, used only to identify your account and let you sign back in.
  • Content you submit — discussion posts, comments, votes, and store-change reports — which is shown publicly as part of the community.
  • A session token stored in your browser's local storage (not in third-party cookies) so you stay signed in.

Sign-in is handled by Supabase Auth, and content is stored in a Supabase database. Supabase acts as our data processor and keeps your information in the United States.

What we don't collect

  • Your precise location or browsing history across other sites.
  • Payment details — nothing on this site is for sale.
  • Personal data about the reviewers behind the ratings. Store information (names, addresses, hours, ratings, and the keywords reviewers use) comes from public Google Maps listings and public reviews; we analyze the words, not the people.

How we use your information

We use account data solely to operate the community features you choose to use, and to keep the directory accurate and spam-free. We never sell your personal information and never share it for advertising.

Your choices & rights

You can request a copy of your account data, correct it, or ask us to delete your account and the content you've posted at any time. Email contact@nyhotelhub.com and we'll handle it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will be noted here before they take effect.
